One of our favorite places to bike to is Seaside, which has some amazing food trucks! It is an easy 4-mile bike ride from Adagio with some spectacular views of dune lakes along the way. If you are staying at Adagio there are 2 bikes that come with your rental, if you need more bikes, call our friend Bob with, Beach Dog Bike Rentals. Recently, I biked from Adagio in Blue Mountain Beach with my husband Adam and our two children. Bob dropped off a buggy for our one-year old and a ride-behind bike for our five year old.
The food trucks are located on either side of the Seaside Post Office; take a picture in front of the building because I’m sure you have never seen a Post Office like this one.
The MeltDown on 30A serves up some delicious combinations of grilled cheese sandwich; my personal favorite is the brie and bacon on cranberry bread. Amazing.
My husband Adam’s favorite spot to eat it Barefoot BBQ where sandals are truly optional. I have seen countless people walking up from the beach to get their fix in BBQ. He loves to get the BBQ Nachos with extra jalapenos. They also have a great kids menu offering chicken fingers, corn dogs and mini sliders. If you like Bloody Mary’s this is the place to get one!
Need a quick pick me up? Stop by the Raw & Juicy an organic raw vegan food truck. They have some of the most delicious smoothies. If you love peanut butter you must get the Almond Love smoothie, and the sweet monkey wrap. Both are made with almond butter, the monkey wrap is pressed so the almond butter is oozing with yummy goodness.
Who doesn’t love a delicious hot dog? At Wild Bill’s Beach Dogs you can get your dog covered in onions, cheese, homemade chili, slaw, pickles the opportunities are endless!
To complete your food truck tour, stop by my 5-year-old son’s favorite spot, Frost Bites for a sweet treat. He loves the rainbow-shaved ice with ALL the colors and flavors. Make sure to bring cash with you, as they do not accept credit cards for transaction less than 20 dollars.
Once you have made your selection, there is outdoor seating to enjoy the surroundings of Seaside. The Food Trucks at Seaside are not just a great place to eat but also to meet and greet the friendly visitors to our 30A area.
Well, after writing this blog, I’m ready to grab a beach cruiser bike and head back to 30A. I hope you stop by one of the Seaside food trucks and enjoy their fun fare, let us know your favorite on our Facebook page.
