6 Take-Out Restaurants on 30A and Destin That You Need to Try
1. Shunk Gulley
Shunk Gulley is minutes away from our San Remo and Adagio guests. It’s the perfect spot for lunch or dinner. We highly recommend starting with the roasted corn and crab soup followed by the gulf sandwich. No feast would be complete without tasting the key lime pie.
2. Perfect Pig
Perfect Pig is open for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner. You really can’t go wrong with anything on their menu. Since we are talking about dinner, I’ll share some of our go-to’s from Perfect Pig. We always get the cheeseboard and smoked tuna dip. These are great to snack on when you have a large group. The bacon caesar salad with shrimp is the perfect dinner if you want something light and fresh. Perfect Pig is known for its barbeque, so we suggest getting the smoke Dr. Pepper-braised short ribs.
3. Vue on 30A
Voted the best waterfront dining, Vue on 30A offers takeout, so you can enjoy the sunset from your private balcony. The crab cake salad is another light option for you to enjoy. Our hands-down favorite thing to get on the menu is the shrimp and scallops. The seafood is always fresh, so you know you are getting a true Gulf coast meal.
4. Pizza by the Sea
For a more casual dinner option, Pizza by the Sea has something for everyone. One of my family’s favorite things to do is pick up a pizza or two and head to the beach for a sunset picnic. The quadruple bypass is a fan favorite, but for a lighter option, the Yum Bowls are definitely yummy!
5. McGuire’s Irish Pub
Celebrating over 40 years of feasting, McGuire’s Irish Pub is truly an Irish restaurant you can’t miss when visiting Destin. From a pepper jack cheesesteak burger to a nacho steak burger, McGuire’s has a burger for everyone. When you pick up your order, make sure you bring a signed dollar to staple onto the wall.
6. Harbor Docks
Looking for sushi? Not only does Harbor Docks have some of the freshest seafood around, but they also have some of the best sushi. I’ll try to pick my top three, but honestly, all the sushi is so good. If you are looking for something with a little spice, the Big Papi is the way to go. For a full-cooked roll, the Backdown with a side of eel sauce is amazing. The Philly is a classic roll that is also a fan favorite. If sushi isn’t your style, the grilled catch of the day or stuffed shrimp are both fresh and delicious.
