Below, you can find the most frequently asked questions about our streaming service with YouTube TV.
YouTube TV is a live TV streaming service that replaces traditional cable. It gives you access to live channels, sports, news, and on-demand content using the Roku remote.
Turn on the TV using the Roku remote.
Press the Home button.
Select the YouTube TV app.
Choose the profile labeled Guest (if prompted).
✅ Use the Roku remote only. You do NOT need the original TV remote. The Roku remote controls power, volume, navigation, and channel selection.
Open YouTube TV.
Select “Live” at the top.
Scroll through the channel guide.
Press OK to start watching.
While watching TV:
Press the Down arrow to bring up the channel guide.
Scroll to another channel.
Press OK.
Yes 👍
Press Pause to stop temporarily.
Press Play to resume.
You can rewind live TV while it’s playing.
Yes. Most areas include:
ABC
CBS
NBC
FOX
(Local availability depends on location.)
Yes — unlimited DVR storage.
You can record shows by selecting “+ Add to Library.”
Recordings stay in the Library for up to 9 months.
(Note: Some rental properties may have DVR disabled.)
No. Please use the property’s account only. Do not log out or add personal accounts.
Press Home on Roku.
Go to Streaming Channels.
Search for YouTube TV.
Reinstall if needed.

Yes. The standard YouTube app is separate from YouTube TV and is also available on Roku.
YouTube TV streams live television channels, so you will see normal commercial breaks just like cable.
