Hiking & Biking 

Explore the over 27 miles of trails that wind through the Point Washington State Forest! Trails meander along dense pine flatwoods and picturesque cypress swamps. The Eastern Lake Trail System was the first trail created in the forest and is a favorite for hikers. It features 3.5, 5, or 10-mile loops allowing you to have a hike that’s as strenuous as relaxing as you like it. Hop on your bike to traverse these trails as well.   

Horseback Riding 

Horseback riding is available in the Point Washington State Forest, offering a scenic and peaceful way to explore the area's natural beauty.

Seasonal Hunting 

Check the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission regulations and obtain the necessary permits before heading out to hunt. The forest is home to a variety of game. 

Wildlife Watching 

Keep your eyes peeled for deer, foxes, and birds that call this forest home. The quieter you are, the more likely you are to spot these amazing creatures.
